According to me Rasbhari is a very matured and layered project but in an attempt to address too many issues the central theme somewhere gets lost. The thin line between sleazy and erotic has been maintained well but the whole concept falters in certain places. It explores our prurient society and its need to suppress the sexuality of women by portraying one of the biggest fantasies of everyone i.e hot teacher fantasy . The small town culture is perfectly captured. The series shows us how women are suppressed and stereotyped in our society for expressing their desires. The casting is really good the teenagers along with the supporting cast have done a great job but Swara Bhasar is the major attraction and clearly the show stealer! Also the title song is addictive and beautifuly melodious! It’s definitely an interesting take on sexuality, but instead of focusing on one theme issues like sexual awakening, oppression of women, social pressure on women and small-town desires are all rammed into the eight episodes with not so up to the mark results !
